Nature is the ultimate
reflection of our own human process. Our natural surroundings flow through
constant cycles of transformation, reminding us of our own perpetual evolution,
of the organic and ethereal fabric of our existence. My inspiration comes not
only from the infinite color, detail and scenery in our earth’s ecosystems, but
also from the vast meaning that lies in the uniform, organic material that
comprises us and our universe. By
blending vibrant elements of nature with the energy of the moment, I am able to
create work that vividly reflects the growth, rhythm, and seasons of all life.
I paint untamed and without thought, coming from a place that is simultaneously within me and outside me. Painting live and in studio, I experience a balance between deliberate and impromptu creation, each of which is a necessary component in my artistic well being and visionary process. I am ceaselessly awed by the unfolding of my work, and find rapture in the plethora of bright, organic imagery that comes together before me.
